Query (Non-Profit) Sample Project.
Image 1) This data visualization displays the stock share value of electric vehicles over a 60 day (2 month) period. Entries were recorded periodically throughout this timeframe, helping me understand the overall trend environment-friendly automobiles were on.
The Context.
Noticing the seemingly random rise of Teslas in my local area, I became curious about the actual retail performance of electric vehicles as a whole.
The Problem.
On the internet, I struggled to find accurate counts of the number of Teslas on the rode. I needed to automate my data acquisition process to find more reliable data to analyze.
The Solution.
Using the Kaggle data science platform, I web scraped a database with information about the stock shares of electrical vehicles along with other useful metrics such as powertrain type and number of active vehicles.
The Outcome.
I determined that, in fact, my mind was definitely not playing tricks on me. Electrical vehicles have been on a consistent rise and their sales won't stop any time soon (according to statistics).
